Bob Michie is the President and co-founder of MetroMSP. Bob defines the technology strategy and initiative critical to achieving MetroMSP's corporate goals and success. He is the visionary behind the company's approach to overcoming complex technology challenges faced in today's business environment. Bob is no stranger to thinking outside the box and his creative problem solving skills have enabled him to design industry leading service offerings that solve business problems.
Bob has over 30 years of experience managing teams and improving processes through the use of technology, business analysis, project management, networking and software development skills. Prior to founding MetroMSP, Bob has worked directly for The New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Digital Equipment Corporation, and Toys R US. He has also had extended consulting engagements with The State of NJ, ISI International, UPS, Lucent, Sony and Everest Broadband.
Some of his high profile projects have been while working at NJIT and Toys R us. At NJIT he designed and installed the first multi building ATM network at a New Jersey university. While at Toys R us he led a team that addressed network and security issues surrounding the company's high-traffic toysrus.com web site, and he was responsible for installation and management procedures for 1,000 distributed Windows NT in-store servers.
Bob earned a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. His first Microsoft Certification was in June 1993 prior to the launch of Windows NT3.1
